Note from the cataloguer
V
A printed catalog never asked for your attention. It expected it.Neither does this one.
We do not run sales by category, or volume, or what happens to be trending. We catalogue lots. We number them. We date them. We name the maker. We invite a small room of collectors to bid against one another, with anti-snipe extension, and the highest paddle wins. The work ships with its provenance attached.
The artists on these rolls work in scripts and crafts that get flattened on marketplaces, and which auction houses larger than this one rarely make room for. Our room is small on purpose.
