Raku Tea Bowl -- Copper Patina

A hand-thrown raku tea bowl removed from the kiln at peak temperature and reduction-cooled in sawdust. The resulting copper matte surface shows unpredictable flashes of turquoise and metallic bronze. Each piece in this firing was unique; this bowl was selected as the strongest of the session.
